Harling Fringe Festival

Venues

An expressive outdoor micro-stage setup in a small urban courtyard, designed for pop-up fringe performances. A compact wooden platform with scuffed edges sits against a brick wall adorned with a bold Harling Fringe Festival banner in bright, clashing colors and hand-drawn patterns. Simple stage lighting rigs cast warm pools of light across the platform, creating sharp, theatrical shadows on the brick. A lone stand-up microphone, a guitar leaning on its stand, and a small portable speaker rest center stage, hinting at comedy, music, and spoken word. Soft twilight sky overhead adds a gentle blue contrast to the warm lights. Photographic realism, captured from a slightly low, front-on angle with deep focus, gives an intimate yet electric mood, perfect for showcasing grassroots performances.

A creative performer’s planning desk representing the Harling Fringe Festival, with a spiral-bound notebook open to a page titled “My Fringe Show Ideas” in bold marker. Colored sticky notes with sketched stage layouts, arrows, and doodled props cluster around the notebook. A laptop screen shows a draft application form for performers, framed by vibrant festival branding and a playful “Join the Lineup” header. A scattering of costume fabric swatches and a small model stage with miniature curtains add tactile detail. Soft, diffused morning light from the left creates gentle highlights on the screen and subtle shadows from pens and paper. Photographic realism, captured from a three-quarter overhead angle, with a sharp focus on the notebook and a slightly blurred periphery, gives an inspiring, imaginative mood.
