Harling Fringe Festival

All Acts

Join us July 10th to 12th in East Harling for theatre, comedy, dance, and family workshops across 6 venues.

An expressive outdoor micro-stage setup in a small urban courtyard, designed for pop-up fringe performances. A compact wooden platform with scuffed edges sits against a brick wall adorned with a bold Harling Fringe Festival banner in bright, clashing colors and hand-drawn patterns. Simple stage lighting rigs cast warm pools of light across the platform, creating sharp, theatrical shadows on the brick. A lone stand-up microphone, a guitar leaning on its stand, and a small portable speaker rest center stage, hinting at comedy, music, and spoken word. Soft twilight sky overhead adds a gentle blue contrast to the warm lights. Photographic realism, captured from a slightly low, front-on angle with deep focus, gives an intimate yet electric mood, perfect for showcasing grassroots performances.

An inviting venue sign-up table staged inside a cozy, characterful space, symbolizing local hosts for the Harling Fringe Festival. A clipboard with a neatly printed “Become a Venue” form sits beside a tablet displaying a map of Harling dotted with colorful pins marking potential venues. Nearby, a small tabletop chalkboard proclaims “Host a Show Here!” in playful lettering, flanked by a miniature stage model with tiny curtains and a tiny spotlight. Warm, ambient indoor lighting from overhead pendant lamps casts soft glows and rounded shadows across the polished wooden surface. In the subtly blurred background, there are hints of stacked chairs, fairy lights, and a bar counter. Photographic realism, shot at eye level using rule-of-thirds composition, conveys a welcoming, collaborative atmosphere.

About Harling Fringe

A community-led celebration of creativity across theatre, music, dance, and workshops, welcoming everyone to participate.

A whimsical children’s activity corner set up for the Harling Fringe Festival, arranged on a low, bright rug scattered with colorful, open picture books featuring imaginary stages, musical instruments, and circus-style props. A small wooden puppet theatre with bold, painted curtains stands center frame, its miniature stage lit by a tiny LED strip that adds a warm glow. Around it, neatly arranged craft supplies—washable paints, chunky crayons, glittery paper crowns—wait to be used. Soft natural light filters through an unseen window, giving the scene a gentle, playful brightness and casting delicate shadows from the puppet theatre onto the rug. Photographic realism, shot from a low, child’s-eye angle with shallow depth of field, evokes joy, creativity, and the family-friendly side of the fringe.
